In the 1950's Aluminium pumps are launched and take rapidly the first place of the market due to their sturdiness and lightness.
From that time, many patents have been registered to ameliorate the efficiency, the ease and the comfort of the pumping.
Almost one century later, during 1972, Zéfal invents the direct-on connection with thumb lock lever and the reversibility of the washer to adapt to all types of valves.
In the 80's Zéfal is the largest pumps manufacturer of the world with more than 10 million pumps per year. At that time, Zéfal starts to widen its offer by launching innovative ranges of bottles, bottle holders, racks and mudguards.
